Cleveland Bar Association

In the State of Ohio, many people are injured because of the negligence, recklessness, or intentional misconduct of an individual or company. These people have the opportunity to file a personal injury lawsuit with the help of a lawyer in their state. Unfortunately, not all people that call themselves lawyers are reputable or able to properly launch a lawsuit. Membership in the Cleveland Bar Association is the reassurance needed to insure that an individual is qualified to present a court case in front of Cleveland courts.

From the moment 53 lawyers first convened in 1873, marking the birth of the Cleveland Bar Association, the Association has maintained, and expanded upon, its original stated goals of upholding honor in the profession, creating social and networking opportunities for members, and assisting with the administration of justice and legal and judicial reform.

The mission of the Cleveland Bar Association is to serve as a center for legal professionalism in the region by educating the bar, by providing resources that enhance client service, and by promoting integrity and ethical behavior among lawyers; to improve the administration of justice on behalf of the public and the Cleveland legal community; to improve public understanding of the law and the justice system; and to foster an environment in which a diverse Association membership can experience excellence and fulfillment in the practice of law and service to the public.
