The Internet Bar Association, however, is dedicated to using the newest technologies to improve the legal system. When a legal professional joins the society, they have immediate access to technology that can improve their practices dramatically. Currently, the association provides members with an opportunity to take online continued legal education classes. The availability of programs online allows many more options for legal professionals while cutting down on travel expenses and cutting down on the amount of time that has to be taken off work. Members of the association are also granted with a virtual networking capability that allows lawyers to connect with other members of the association promptly. Since its foundation in 1997, the goal of the Internet Bar Association has been to be “THE Internet Bar Association” representing legal professionals from around the world to allow for maximum networking and enhancement in the field of law.
