In the State of California, many people are injured because of the negligence, recklessness, or intentional misconduct of an individual or company. These people have the opportunity to file a personal injury lawsuit with the help of a lawyer in their state. Unfortunately, not all people that call themselves lawyers are reputable or able to properly launch a lawsuit. Membership in the Los Angeles County Bar Association is the reassurance needed to insure that an individual is qualified to present a court case in front of Los Angeles courts.

The Los Angeles County Bar Association is an organization that represents legal professionals and the public throughout Los Angeles County. With more than 23,000 members, 100 committees and sections, and its scores of public service projects, the Association is a career-long resource for its members, an effective voice for the profession, and a vital community service. It derives its effectiveness and strength from the diversity, vitality, and commitment of its volunteers and staff, as it advances its mission of meeting the professional needs of Los Angeles lawyers and improving the administration of justice.

A number of valuable programs are sponsored by the organization. Lawyers have access to practice tools, continuing legal education programs, legal publications, legal news, listing services, support tools, volunteer opportunities, and career resources. Public programs are sponsored as well. The Los Angeles Bar Association is dedicated to helping increase assess and respect for justice. A number of public service projects provide legal or law-related services to members of the public for a modest fee or, oftentimes, for free.
