National Native American Bar Association

The National Native American Bar Association (NNABA) is collaboration between Native American attorneys, judges, law professors and law students. Founded in 1973, NNABA works to promote issues important to the Native American community. Additionally, the association is dedicated to the improvement of professional opportunities for Native American lawyers. NNABA is a leader on social, cultural, political and legal issues affecting American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians.

Membership in the association is not limited to Native Americans. Any legal professional that believes in equal rights and opportunities for Native Americans is encouraged to join. All members are provided with some benefits for joining. Continuing legal education opportunities are available. The association also sponsors conferences that focus on Native American Law. Job opportunities are regularly advertised as well.
