The Personal Injuries Bar Association is the specialist bar association for lawyers who practice in the field of personal injuries in the United Kingdom. The aims of PIBA are to provide a forum for discussion on matters of common concern and interest to the members, to ascertain and represent the views of members on matters affecting their professional interests, and to further the study, understanding, and development of the law relating to personal injuries.
PIBA holds seminars regularly. The topics of the seminars are comprised of an assortment of issues that are of interest to legal professionals in the specialty field of Personal Injury Law. Continuing professional development programs are also sponsored by PIBA. Lawyers from across England have the opportunity to benefit from educational classes aimed at keeping all members of the bar informed about the most current aspects of Personal Injury Law.
Assembled in 1995, PIBA is comprised of many full and honorary members who are also members of the Bar of England and Wales. The Committee of Association heads PIBA. All members of this committee are elected to two-year terms and are instrumental in developing the issues related to Personal Injury Law that PIBA concentrates on improving.
