National South Asian Bar Association

The United States of America boasts one of the finest legal systems in the world. For over 200 years, the country has provided a fair and just way in which discrepancies can be solved and justice can be served. Many international legal systems base the format of their legal system on that of the United States. When South Asian American legal professionals choose to practice law within the United States, they are able to access the American legal system with all of its benefits, and all of its responsibilities. However, South Asian American lawyers retain unique cultural practices and needs. The National South Asian American Bar Association (NSAABA) is the answer for all South Asian Americans who practice law.

The NSAABA provides the vial link between South Asian lawyers and the South Asian community in North America. The organization is comprised of South Asian legal professionals across the United States. Twenty-one different branches of NSAABA, located across the US, make it easy for anyone to access the association. The association sponsors countless activities designed to advance South Asian lawyers and members of the South Asian community. Active members of the association are active members of their communities. The official goals of the association are multifaceted. One goal of the association is to work to support, guide, mentor, and foster all the SABAs in the nation. Additionally, the association strives to provide a nationwide networking forum for all South Asian attorneys and endeavors to promote professional development for South Asians, attorneys, and law students. Finally, NSAABA desires to educate and disseminate information to the South Asian community about the law, legal access, and relevant legal issues.
